We were very happy to support an event organised by Horsforth Live at Home for Dying Matters week on 16th May.
The day was well supported by local businesses and organisations, and covered aspects of end of life issues such as funeral planning, hospices and, of course, wills and lasting powers of attorney.
A cup of tea and a cupcake welcomed visitors to our stall and we had lots of people talking to us about the many concerns surrounding this area - the time flew by as we chatted and offered advice to local people.
Dying Matters is about encouraging people to have those difficult conversations with their family and friends, so that we can all learn, not only to cope better with our own bereavement, but to support others who have suffered a loss.
Saturday 19 May once again saw us at the Pudsey Carnival. There were lots of events and activities on a, thankfully, warm and sunny day enjoyed by thousands of visitors.
Our local community certainly proved their strength on our traditional Strongman game which helped to raise money for even more defibrillators in and around Pudsey.
The next events currently in our calendar are the Pudsey Live at Home summer fair on 11 August and a joint seminar we are taking part in on the subject of Later Life Planning in September, but before these we have the small matter of the Pudsey Legal 10k race on 17 June!
